Before uploading a face photo, ask three questions: Are you allowed to use it? Is the search necessary? Who receives the image? Searching your own photos or images with clear permission is straightforward. Uploading another person’s photo out of curiosity can affect their privacy.
AHMLock asks for explicit consent before a live search. It displays the active provider and the credit cost per search. The photo is sent to that provider for the search; coverage depends on the public sources the provider can access. A match is not proof of identity.
Review each source link in context. An old profile, a reused picture or a similar face can create a misleading result. If you find suspicious use, record the link and date, then use the platform’s report or removal process.
