Reverse image search guide

A step-by-step guide to tracing an image's source, watching copies and collecting evidence.

1. Prepare the image

Use the original file; re-compressed copies weaken the fingerprint. Upload the full-resolution version when possible.

2. Reading the results

Matches are listed chronologically. The oldest entry usually points to the original publication; always check domain credibility.

3. Collecting evidence

Save a screenshot, URL and date for each record. Archive the report as PDF.
